2018-02-09GBP pluginNeale Ranns1-0/+1
Group Base Policy (GBP) defines: - endpoints: typically a VM or container that is connected to the virtual switch/router (i.e. to VPP) - endpoint-group: (EPG) a collection of endpoints - policy: rules determining which traffic can pass between EPGs a.k.a a 'contract' Here, policy is implemented via an ACL. EPG classification for transit packets is determined by: - source EPG: from the packet's input interface - destination EPG: from the packet's destination IP address. 2017-12-20L2 EmulationNeale Ranns1-0/+1
L2 Emulation is a feautre that is applied to L2 ports to 'extract' IP packets from the L2 path and inject them into the L3 path (i.e. into the appropriate ip[4|6]_input node). L3 routes in the table_id for that interface should then be configured as DVR routes, therefore the forwarded packet has the L2 header preserved and togehter the L3 routed system behaves like an L2 bridge. 2017-12-18Support kube-proxy data planeHongjun Ni1-0/+1
This plugin provides kube-proxy data plane on user space, which is used to replace linux kernal's kube-proxy based on iptables. The idea is largely inspired from VPP LB plugin. Currently, kube-proxy plugin supports three service types: 1) Cluster IP plus Port: support any protocols, including TCP, UDP. 2) Node IP plus Node Port: currently only support UDP. 3) External Load Balancer. Please refer to kp_plugin_doc.md for details. Change-Id: I36690e417dd26ad5ec1bd77c7ea4b8100416cac6 Signed-off-by: Hongjun Ni <hongjun.ni@intel.com>

2017-11-06Add --disable-vom config optionDave Barach1-0/+1

2017-11-01VPP Object Model (VOM)Neale Ranns1-1/+2
The VOM is a C++ library for use by clients/agents of VPP for programming state. It uses the binary APIs to do so. Various other common client side functions are also provided. Please see om.hpp for a more detailed description. 2017-10-18Plugin for IP-Address to Interface PuntingPierre Pfister1-0/+1
This plugin provides per-ip address to interface punting. When at least one rule is defined, the plugin receives all packets which destination is one of VPP's address but which was not processed by VPP (e.g., a TCP packet on a port that is not open, or a packet for a protocol which is not attached). Based on the set of configured rules, the destination address of each packet is used to send the packet on the associated interface. This plugin allows multiple containers to use VPP's TCP stack (or other features provided by VPP) while still being able to receive additional packets. 2017-07-14dpdk: update buildSergio Gonzalez Monroy1-3/+45
Current optional DPDK PMDs are: - AESNI MB PMD (SW crypto) - AESNI GCM PMD (SW crypto) - MLX4 PMD - MLX5 PMD This change will always build DPDK SW crypto PMDs and required SW crypto libraries, while MLX PMDs are still optional and the user has to build required libraries. Now the configure script detects if any of the optional DPDK PMDs were built and link against their required libraries/dependencies. 2017-01-27dpdk: rework cryptodev ipsec build and setupSergio Gonzalez Monroy1-2/+2
Build Cryptodev IPsec support by default when DPDK is enabled but only build hardware Cryptodev PMDs. To enable Cryptodev support, a new startup.conf option for dpdk has been introduced 'enable-cryptodev'. During VPP init, if Cryptodev support is not enabled or not enough cryptodev resources are available then default to OpenSSL ipsec implementation.
