2024-11-06session: session table holding free appns indexSteven Luong1-0/+4
session table may be shared among multiple appns's. app ns add id blue secret 1 if tap0 app ns add id red secret 1 if tap0 session table holds the last added app_ns's appns_index. If the last app_ns is deleted, session table is not free since there is still an appns which uses the same session table. In that case, session table is holding the free app_ns's appns_index and it can cause problem. The fix is to modify appns_index in session table to hold a vector of appns_index's instead of just the appns_index that was last added. When the app ns is deleted, remove the deleted appns_index from the session table's vector of appns_index's. With this feature, session enable is now modified to have 3 modes of operation session enable -- only enable session session enable rt-backend sdl -- enable session with sdl session enable rt-backend rule-table -- enable session with rule-table session rule tables are now created on demand, upon adding first rule to the rule table. refactor session table to remove depenency from sesssion rules table. Now session rules table APIs take srtg_handle and transport proto instead of srt pointer. 2023-08-09session: async rx event notificationsFlorin Coras1-1/+69
Move from synchronous flushing of io and ctrl events from transports to applications to an async model via a new session_input input node that runs in interrupt mode. Events are coalesced per application worker. On the one hand, this helps by minimizing message queue locking churn. And on the other, it opens the possibility for further optimizations of event message generation, obviates need for rx rescheduling rpcs and is a first step towards a fully async data/io rx path. 2021-10-11ip: fix fib and mfib locksNathan Skrzypczak1-1/+1
This patches fixes an issue that could cause fib locks to underflow: if an API user deletes a fib and quickly recreates it, the fib may not have been actually deleted. As a result, the lock would not be incremented on the create call leading to the fib potentially disappearing afterwards - or to the lock to underflow when the fib is deleted again. In order to keep the existing API semantics, we use the locks with API and CLI source as flags. This means we need to use a different counter for the interface-related locks. This also prevents an issue where an interface being bound to a vrf via API and released via CLI could mess up the lock counter. Finally, this will help with cleaning up the interface-related locks on interface deletion in a later patch. By convention, connects segment manager will be first. Therefore it will be the one with the first segment wherein lies the app's message queue. Saves us the trouble of allocating it on first connect, if app started by listening, and we no longer need to track if it's assignable to a listener or if it can be removed.
