The AWS Graviton make test fails in dvr_test.py on Ubuntu 22.04,
due to a mismatching source MAC address. Debian 11 tests run fine.
The following can be seen in the log.txt trace:
00:00:00:756422: ethernet-input
frame: flags 0x1, hw-if-index 3, sw-if-index 3
IP4: 02:03:00:00:ff:02 -> de:ad:00:00:00:00 802.1q vlan 92
00:00:00:756435: l2-input
l2-input: sw_if_index 6 dst de:ad:00:00:00:00 src 02:03:00:00:ff:02 [l2-input-vtr l2-learn l2-fwd l2-flood l2-flood ]
00:00:00:756438: l2-input-vtr
l2-input-vtr: sw_if_index 6 dst de:ad:00:00:00:00 src 02:03:00:00:00:00 data 08 00 45 00 00 80 00 01 00 00 40 11

l2-learn: sw_if_index 6 dst de:ad:00:00:00:00 src 02:03:00:00:00:00 bd_index 1
Note how l2-input-vtr node has the two lowest bytes of the source MAC corrupted.
Discussing with Benoit, since this could be caused by unaligned memory accesses,
using clib_memcpy_fast.

l2 tunnels like vxlan, gtpu, geneva use vnet_l2_compute_flow_hash() to
compute flow hash for udp src port entropy. In case of inner mpls tunnels
to the same lsr ethernet src and dst macs are the same, so l2 flow hash
is also the same leading to no src port entropy and the only rss queue
overflow on receiver side.
Fix it for all the possible vnet_l2_compute_flow_hash callers by making
mpls playload hash in additon to ip4/ip6. Visible performance impact is
not expected as it's only one check for mpls ethertype for common cases.

Several api messages were not mp-safe although marked as such
because non-zero base id was not taken into account, and therefore
some other (from zero base id) were falsely mp-safe instead.
Keep messages as mp-safe, as they falsely were before:
10 get_first_msg_id 0 1
12 api_versions 0 1
Messages that are no longer mp-safe as they weren't marked:
15 sockclnt_create 0 1
33 proxy_arp_intfc_dump 0 1
Fix messages to be really mp-safe:
809 bridge_domain_dump 0 1
920 ip_route_add_del 0 1
921 ip_route_add_del_v2 0 1
1362 get_node_graph 0 1
1671 create_vhost_user_if 0 1
1675 create_vhost_user_if_v2 0 1
Additionally mark messages as mp-safe, seems they need no barrier:
1360 show_threads 0 1
1370 show_version 0 1
1372 show_vpe_system_time 0 1

In a case where one pounds on a single kvp in a KVP_AT_BUCKET_LEVEL
table, the code would sporadically return a transitional value (junk)
from a half-deleted kvp. At most, 64-bits worth of the kvp will be
written atomically, so using memset(...) to smear 0xFF's across a kvp
to free it left a lot to be desired.
Performance impact: very mild positive, thanks to FC for doing a
multi-thread host stack perf/scale test.
Added an ASSERT to catch attempts to add a (key,value) pair which
contains the magic "free kvp" value.

Coverity complains dead codes in 2 places due to a recent commit as
pointed out in Fixes. The dead codes are
if (seed < L2_BD_ID_MAX % 2)
is_seed_low = 1;
and
if (is_seed_low)
seed += (2 * (i % 2) - 1) * i;
seed can never be less than (L2_BD_ID_MAX % 2).
Consequently, is_seed_low is always 0.
There is also other problem. The inner loop is iterating only once.
The fix is to greatly simplify the code to generate a random bd_id.

classify hash used to be stored as u64 in buffer metadata, use 32 bits
instead:
- on almost all our supported arch (x86 and arm64) we use crc32c
intrinsics to compute the final hash: we really get a 32-bits hash
- the hash itself is used to compute a 32-bits bucket index by masking
upper bits: we always discard the higher 32-bits
- this allows to increase the l2 classify buffer metadata padding such
as it does not overlap with the ip fib_index metadata anymore. This
overlap is an issue when using the 'set metadata' action in the ip
ACL node which updates both fields

When a message is received, verify that it's sufficiently large to
accomodate any VLAs within message. To do that, we need a way to
calculate message size including any VLAs. This patch adds such
funcionality to vppapigen and necessary C code to use those to validate
message size on receipt. Drop messages which are malformed.

Running vpp without any interface configured and then invoking the
binary-api l2_xconnect_dump causes vpp to crash in l2_input_is_xconnect due
to l2input_main.configs has no memory allocated to it, not even for the local
interface which exists all the times.
The reason that l2input_main.configs has no memory allocated to it was due to
gerrit patch 29232 which took out a line in l2input_init
/* Create the config vector */
vec_validate (mp->configs, 100);
The fix is to iterate through l2input_main.configs for each interface in
l2 to call l2_input_is_xconnect when dumping l2_xconnect interfaces.

Currently l2 fib allocates 512MB hash table unconditionally on startup.
This patch postpones table creation up to the point where first
interface is put into l2 mode or mac entry is added.
In addition it reduces default table size to 128MB and increases number
of buckets 4 times. This default setting should be enough to keep 1M mac
entries.
Also, new startup.conf section is added which allows user to change memory
and bucket size. .i.e:
l2fib {
table-size 512M
num-buckets 524288
}
