2020-01-02session: fix listener global endpoint lookupFlorin Coras1-0/+3
Type: fix Ensure listeners for app transport protocols are added to lookup tables using their session endpoints instead of their transport connections, which can override the network connection id in the transport connection. 2019-07-12quic: fix show session verboseAloys Augustin1-3/+3
Proprely display quic connections in show session verbose, and add a small fix for UDPC listeners and UDP sessions formatting. Change-Id: I33f83e77bf357347623d87ad23c483aba60a9bb2 Signed-off-by: Aloys Augustin <aloaugus@cisco.com> Type: feature
2019-07-12session: add thread index to all formattersAloys Augustin1-0/+2
Add a thread_index argument to half-open and listener session formatters because QUIC can have listeners and half-open sessions in any thread. Change-Id: I1de60e35ece4c68ba8cfdd6b63f211bc620d687b Signed-off-by: Aloys Augustin <aloaugus@cisco.com> Type: feature

2019-05-16init / exit function orderingDave Barach1-10/+9
The vlib init function subsystem now supports a mix of procedural and formally-specified ordering constraints. We should eliminate procedural knowledge wherever possible. The following schemes are *roughly* equivalent: static clib_error_t *init_runs_first (vlib_main_t *vm) { clib_error_t *error; ... do some stuff... if ((error = vlib_call_init_function (init_runs_next))) return error; ... } VLIB_INIT_FUNCTION (init_runs_first); and static clib_error_t *init_runs_first (vlib_main_t *vm) { ... do some stuff... } VLIB_INIT_FUNCTION (init_runs_first) = { .runs_before = VLIB_INITS("init_runs_next"), }; The first form will [most likely] call "init_runs_next" on the spot. The second form means that "init_runs_first" runs before "init_runs_next," possibly much earlier in the sequence. Please DO NOT construct sets of init functions where A before B actually means A *right before* B. It's not necessary - simply combine A and B - and it leads to hugely annoying debugging exercises when trying to switch from ad-hoc procedural ordering constraints to formal ordering constraints. 2019-05-03Add packet headers in UDPC fifosAloys Augustin1-1/+1
This change adds packet headers for each packet in a UDPC connection. This changes the semantic of UDPC from an unreliable, unordered stream of bytes to an unreliable, unordered sequence of packets. 2018-07-11avoid using thread local storage for thread indexDamjan Marion1-1/+1
It is cheaper to get thread index from vlib_main_t if available... Change-Id: I4582e160d06d9d7fccdc54271912f0635da79b50 Signed-off-by: Damjan Marion <damarion@cisco.com>
2018-06-11udp: fix for multiple workers and add testFlorin Coras1-4/+12
Since the main thread is not used for session polling anymore, when vpp is started with multiple wokers, allocate connections on the first. Also add a simple udp make test. Change-Id: Id869f5d89e0fced51048f0384fa86a5022258b7c Signed-off-by: Florin Coras <fcoras@cisco.com>
2018-04-18udp/session: refactor to support dgram modeFlorin Coras1-3/+53
- adds session layer support for datagram based protocols - updates udp to work in pure connectionless and datagram mode. The existing connected mode is now 'accessible' for apps as a dummy UDPC, as in, connected udp, protocol. - updates udp_echo, echo client, echo server code to work in datagram mode. 2018-03-02session: first approximation implementation of tlsFlorin Coras1-1/+3
It consists of two main parts. First, add an application transport type whereby applications can offer transport to other applications. For instance, a tls app can offer transport services to other applications. And second, a tls transport app that leverages the mbedtls library for tls protocol implementation. 2017-12-11session: generalize handling of network transportsFlorin Coras1-3/+4
- compute session type out of transport and network protos - make session, session lookup and session queue code network protocol agnostic This does not update the session layer to support non-ip network layer protocols Change-Id: Ifc2f92845e158b649d59462eb7d51c12af536691 Signed-off-by: Florin Coras <fcoras@cisco.com>
