Type: fix Several tunnels encapsulation use udp as outer header and udp src port is set by inner header flow hash, such as gtpu, geneve, vxlan, vxlan-gbd Since flow hash of inner header is already been calculated, keeping it to vnet_buffere[b]->ip.flow_hash should save load-balance node work to select ECMP uplinks. 2019-03-26Simplify adjacency rewrite codeBenoît Ganne1-12/+2
Using memcpy instead of complex specific copy logic. This simplify the implementation and also improve perf slightly. Also move adjacency data from tail to head of buffer, which improves cache locality (header and data share the same cacheline) Finally, fix VxLAN which used to workaround vnet_rewrite logic. 2018-11-05vxlan: prefetch extra one cacheline holding external headerZhiyong Yang1-2/+2
For vxlan_encap, code will touch memory area before the field "data" in struct vlib_buffer_t, however so far it is not prefetched in cache yet for this graph node. After applying the patch, 2~3 cycles per pkt for vxlan4_encap can be saved on Haswell. It will bring a lot of benefits on DVN platform too. This patch deprecates stack-based thread identification, Also removes requirement that thread stacks are adjacent. Finally, possibly annoying for some folks, it renames all occurences of cpu_index and cpu_number with thread index. Using word "cpu" is misleading here as thread can be migrated ti different CPU, and also it is not related to linux cpu index.
